The Pinhole Surgical Technique for Gum Rejuvenation
The pinhole surgical technique is used to improve gingival recession and to prevent tooth loss. This procedure is an alternative to traditional gingival grafting techniques, which are in most cases, very uncomfortable for the patient post-procedure.
With the pinhole technique, specialized instruments are used to move the gum tissue without the use of scalpels, sutures, or gingival grafts. Post-operative discomfort is typically very minimal with this procedure.
